Berkeley College Council

About BKCC

The Berkeley College Council is the official representative body of Berkeley College students.  Comprised of members from all classes, the council seeks to foster community and engage students in discussion on improving the quality of life in Berkeley.  The Council acts as a forum for the discussion of matters important to the Berkeley community, allocates the student activities fund, and organizes most of the social events that take place in Berkeley throughout the year.   BKCC has sponsored college trips and events such as our famous Thunderball semi-formal, BK Ski Trip, Apple Picking, Trivia Nights and viewing parties for the Superbowl, soccer, and more.  Working closely with the Berkeley Head of College Office, BKCC strives to make Berkeley a vibrant community for the entire BK flock.

Come to the meetings to help plan these activities, or to suggest ideas of your own!  BKCC executive officers are elected each semester.  First year berkeleyites are especially encouraged to participate.  This is a great way for students to get to know people and to discuss improvements to the college.   You can find BKCC news and updates in the weekly Berkeley Broadside newsletter. Those interested in getting involved in Berkeley student life and event planning should email Co-Presidents Vanessa Anaya ’26 and Hannah Nashed ’26.
